MAG 2007 - Martial Arts Gathering 2007

We are proud to showcase this unique event in Malaysia in the state of Sarawak, the Land of the Hornbills.

Aside from being the birthplace and cradle of 100s of diverse Malay Silats, Sarawak is also one of the hubs for mainland Chinese in quest of greener pastures for the last couple of hundred years.

With this influx of Chinese came a whole range of Chinese Kung Fu, many of which are still quietly taught and transmitted in unadulterated manners within clans and families much to the ignorance of the rest of CKF community.

It's also here in Sarawak that you'll witness styles only read about in the old archives and supposed to have vanished by many martial art researchers.

And to give you a truly exclusive Malaysian experience, we have included Indian unarmed and weapon arts to reflect the multi-ethic richness of Malaysia.

More than simply a demonstration, you will get the opportunity to learn and touch hands with the many Masters we have lined up for you.

Spread over 3 days, you will learn rare forms, applications and principles from the custodians of many styles of martial arts.

This is an opportunity not to be missed – the opportunity to savor the natural wonders, taste the foods and take home a little of the Martial Arts of Sarawak and Malaysia.

And most importantly, this is one event that going to bring martial artists from all over the world to come together and experience, learn and interact and bond.

After all, “All martial arts are one family” and this is the family gathering.

See you in Malaysia this September!

Collaborate with the various Masters and experts to publish high-standard VCDs/DVDs and books for western markets where the demands of Asian fighting art cultures is strong and escalating. Work with the various Masters to conduct courses and invite foreign martial art practitioners to form research clusters. Organize international events to showcase these unique art forms.
