Fut Sao Wing Chun Kuen (Fo Shou Yongchunquan), meaning "Buddha Hand", was introduced by Leung Chi-Man (Leung Hung-Lay, Henry Leung. It was one of the first Wing chun Systems introduced in New York City back in the Late 60's early 70's. And so the first 3 teachers of Wing Chun in New York, Henry Leung, Chow k.Chung?, and Lee Moy Shan have a special place in Wing chun history in America. Paving the way for Alan Lamb, Duncan Leung, Moy Yat, Alan Lee and later Students of Wiliam Cheung. Modern research has been inconclusive in determining the roots of the Fut Sao System. Different students of Leung CHi-Man report different origins for the system, including it descending from Fung Siu Ching, Leung Bik, Chan Wah Shun, Xu Yun, and Leung Chan Sang. Research done by the Ancestral Wing Chun Kuen Research Institute suggest that the Fut Sao system is actually a version of Leung Family Wing Chun. Further research will be released in the future on this subject. The Fut Sao system is said to have its origins in Guangzhou, China, but currently , is only available in the U.S.A.
